Christian formation without a denominational gate
A Christ-centered option for users who want Scripture, prayer, repentance, gratitude, service, and character formation without specifically Catholic devotions.
Shared Christian center
This module is intentionally broad enough for Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, Lutheran, Reformed, evangelical, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal and other mainstream Christian users. It does not ask them to settle denominational disagreements inside the app.
God
Seek God in faith, humility, prayer and truth rather than treating spiritual practice as self-improvement alone.
Jesus Christ
Make the life and teaching of Jesus the pattern for love, courage, mercy, truthfulness, sacrifice and service.
Scripture
Read the Bible regularly, in context, and let it challenge the stories you tell yourself rather than merely confirm them.
Grace and repentance
Christian growth includes receiving grace, turning from sin, repairing harm where possible and beginning again.
Church and community
Practice faith with other Christians through worship, fellowship, service and the practices of your own church tradition.
Fruit
Evaluate formation by what it produces in life: love, patience, fidelity, courage, self-control, justice, mercy and hope.
A simple Christian Rule
Abide
Begin from relationship with God rather than performance. Make room for prayer, Scripture, silence, worship, and honest dependence.
Receive truth
Let Scripture correct both self-flattery and self-condemnation. Ask what is true, what love requires, and what obedience looks like today.
Practice love
Measure formation by actual fruit: patience, kindness, fidelity, courage, self-control, mercy, justice, forgiveness, and service.
Return quickly
When you fail, tell the truth, repent, repair what you can, receive mercy, and begin again.
A weekly Christian rhythm
Daily
Morning prayer, a short Scripture reading, one concrete act of love or duty, and an evening review.
Weekly
Gather for Christian worship, receive the sacramental/ordinance life of your tradition, rest, and make room for service and fellowship.
When you fail
Confess honestly, seek forgiveness, make appropriate repair, accept help, and return to the path rather than turning failure into identity.
When you suffer
Bring grief, fear, anger and uncertainty to God without pretending. Ask for help, stay connected to people, and continue the next faithful duty.
The app uses “sacrament/ordinance” language here because Christian traditions differ in terminology and number. Your church’s teaching governs your own practice.
Common Christian prayers
Except for the ancient Jesus Prayer, the prayers below were written for My Rule of Life. The Lord’s Prayer is quoted from the public-domain World English Bible (Matthew 6:9–13), so the public build does not depend on a copyrighted modern Bible translation or devotional edition.

Scripture practices
Use a public-domain Bible text in the app, or open the translation you already use. A simple pattern is read → notice → pray → obey.
Read
Take a short passage. Read it slowly twice.
Notice
What does it reveal about God, human life, love, sin, hope, or duty?
Pray
Respond honestly: gratitude, confession, petition, surrender, or praise.
Obey
Choose one concrete action that makes the reading visible in your life.
For embedded public-domain Scripture, My Rule of Life uses the World English Bible when modern English is helpful. The World English Bible is dedicated to the public domain by its publisher.
